Comprised of 185 faculty in six departments, the College of Science and Engineering at Texas State University is dedicated to nurturing young scientists through applied learning experiences in laboratory research, field study , and cutting edge technologies.

Nationally recognized programs offer students the opportunity to students to participate in current public and privately funded research projects. This often leads to scholarly publications and other accolades.

The College of Science and Engineering houses six departments, Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Engineering Technology, Ingram School of Engineering, Materials Science-Engineering-Commercialization Program, Mathematics, and Physics.

The mission of the College of Science and Engineering
  •  To prepare students for careers across a broad range of science, engineering, mathematics, and technology disciplines
  • To provide all students with core knowledge in science and mathematics
  • To provide future educators with the scientific and mathematical knowledge needed for K-12 teaching in the 21st century.
